Augusta Street Arch – Lisbon

As almost everyone knows, Lisbon is the capital of Portugal. In Portuguese you would say “Lisboa“.

There is much to say about this city, so one post would be insufficient to show all that there is to show. So I’ll try to portray the best possible in several posts starting with one that I think will be the best gateway to the beautiful city of Lisbon.

A landmark of the city of Lisbon is without doubt the Rossio and the entire downtown area. If you go from Rossio towards Tagus river along Augusta Street, will give Comercio Square, know as “Praça do Comércio“, and there you’ll have Augusta Street Arch, that in portuguese is known as “Arco da Rua Augusta“.
